Rotational Sole Chef 55m MY

We are seeking an experienced Sole Chef to join a 55m motor yacht for the next season. The vessel lightly charters and runs a dual season itinerary between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

Requirements:

  • You will be responsible for cooking for the 10+ crew as well as charter clients. The owners have a travelling chef who comes onboard to cook for them so there will be no cooking for the owner as part of this role.
  • Confident in catering to dietary requirements and creating healthy, balanced meals for the team is important.
  • Minimum two years' yachting experience in a similar role, plus relevant land-based chef background.
  • Ideally have charter experience.

Details:

  • Salary: DOE but paid in euros.
  • Leave: Candidates need to be flexible as the rotation will be based on the owner's movement as the other chef must do owner trips; this should be a fair split. The first rotation will be from the start of November to mid-January. The contract will be time-for-time.
  • Accommodation: Shared cabin.
  • Location: Dual season vessel, joining in the Mediterranean before going to the Caribbean.
  • Start Date: End of October.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
