Rotational Chief Engineer Opportunity aboard Private 60m M/Y


Great opportunity for an Australian based, experienced Chief Engineer to join this expedition style yacht cruising Australasia!

Start:                  October 2025
Location:            Indian Ocean Cruising
Package:             Competitive salary Paid in AUD – 2:2 Rotation

Only Australian Residents, or those with Legal working rights for Australia need apply

Experience and attributes required:

  • Min 5 years’ experience as Engineer aboard Superyachts
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills with hands-on experience
  • Experience in collaborating with a 2nd Engineer and giving direction
  • Team Player with excellent communication skills
  • Great attention to detail

Qualifications required:

  • Y1 certified
  • Seafarer’s Medical Certificate ENG1 (valid minimum 6 months)
  • STCW (Fully updated) with PDSD
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book (preferred)

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
