Housekeeper – Henley Upon Thames

We are working with an UHMW family living on a large estate in Henley upon Thames who are looking for an experienced housekeeper to join their large team. The estate is a large and busy at all times with a team of 25-30 across all divisions. The family have lots of guests on the estate on a weekly basis for various reasons and so we are hoping to find someone who thrives in a fast paced bustling household.

The housekeeping team consist of approx. 5 staff members, and you’ll work a 5-day week on a rota to cover the weekends once a month. We are looking for positive people who enjoy their work and will fit in well with the existing team.

This is a live out position. We can only consider candidates who live a commutable distance to Henley.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining the household, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping
• Doing laundry, ironing, and caring for delicate fabrics
• Making beds and changing linens regularly
• Organising wardrobes, cupboards, and general tidying of rooms
• Packing and unpacking for travel as required
• Managing household supplies
• Receiving deliveries and supervising tradespeople or contractors
• Maintaining discretion and respecting the family's privacy at all times

Ideal Candidate

• Be fully flexible when the family are in residence
• Be discreet, smart, warm, and capable of taking initiative
• Have experience supporting UHNW households
• Work well within a team
• Be confident in all aspects of private household housekeeping
• Any yachting experience is advantageous
• Live within a 1hr commute of Henley

Package

• Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
• Working schedule: 5 day working week, including 1 weekend a month
• Working hours: 8am – 5pm with required flexibility
