Our client is searching for a professional Hostess to enhance the onboard experience for guests on a private/charter sailing yacht.

Start date: September 2025

Candidate location: Ideally South Africa

Itinerary: Cape Town / Caribbean / Mediterranean.

Catamaran Yacht Specs: 24m / 60 GT
Crew of 4
Guest accommodation for up to 10 guests in 4 suites

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure top-tier guest experience onboard.
• Manage cabin and interior upkeep, dining service, and guest assistance.
• Support the crew in daily operations during the journey.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in professional yachting or luxury hospitality.
• Strong skills in guest relations, service, and organization.
• Excellent English communication skills, with additional languages a plus.
• Friendly, well-presented, and adaptable to life at sea.
• No visible tattoos
• Non-smoker, sober habits

Certificates and Qualifications:

• STCW and ENG1 certifications (mandatory).

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on yachts matching the following requirements:

  • Yacht sizes:  < 24m, 30-39m, 40-49m or 50-69m
  • Yacht types:  sailing
  • Yacht uses:   private or charter
  • Experience length:  min 2 years

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
