Maternity Nurse – Dubai

Silver Swan is delighted to be recruiting an experienced and qualified Maternity Nurse to join a warm and caring VIP household in Dubai. The family is expecting their first child in October 2025 and is relocating to Dubai in September. This is a 6-month live-in position, where you will be providing specialist newborn care and support, working closely with a loving family and an established household team including chefs, housekeepers, and a nanny.This role requires medical maternity nursing qualifications – experience caring for newborns without formal medical training will not be sufficient.

Responsibilities:

• Feeding, burping, bathing, and changing the baby.
• Monitoring health metrics such as temperature, weight gain, and overall wellbeing.
• Establishing and maintaining feeding and sleep routines.
• Soothing and settling the baby, especially overnight.
• Cleaning and sterilising bottles and feeding equipment.
• Organising and maintaining the baby’s nursery and belongings.
• Advising and educating parents on best newborn care practices and milestones.
• Assisting and supporting the mother with breastfeeding or bottle-feeding.
• Offering emotional support and practical help during the early postpartum period.
• Ensuring a safe sleep environment in line with SIDS prevention guidelines.
• Recognising signs of illness or distress and acting promptly.
• Upholding exceptional hygiene standards in all aspects of baby care.
• Available to assist the nanny or other team members when required.
• Willing to travel with the family if needed.

Ideal Candidate:

• Must hold a UK/EU passport 
• Minimum 7 years of Maternity Nurse Experience. 
• Expert knowledge of infant sleep routines and healthy sleep development.
• Calm, composed, and capable of handling unexpected situations.
• Naturally warm, patient, and nurturing personality.
• Resilient and understanding when dealing with sleep-deprived or high-pressure situations.
• High standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear updates to parents.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate with other household staff.

Package:

• Salary: From €8,000 net per month
• Accommodation: Provided
• Schedule: Evening and overnight shifts
• Travel & visa arrangements: Covered by the family
• Contract Duration: 6 months
