A busy family of five located in Vaucluse is seeking a detail oriented Housekeeper to provide additional support for the family on a part-time basis – 4 days per week around 4 hours per day.

With regular cleaners in place, your duties will include general tidying and light cleaning, laundry details, changing/making bed linens, managing household supplies, occasional errands, meal planning and grocery shopping, preparation of meals for the week.

You will be responsible for the preparation of 3-4 healthy, family meals per week and lunch boxes for the children, so a love of cooking is a definite requirement.

Days and hours will be flexible but we are looking at a minimum of 16-20 hours split over Mom/Tue/Thu and Fridays.  Start/finish times are somewhat flexible for the right person.

We are seeking someone with the following attributes:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in private housekeeping/ house management
  • Love of cooking
  • Self-motivated, good initiative and able to follow direction
  • Excellent Housekeeping and Laundry skills
  • Be detail oriented with strong organisational skills
  • Drivers License and own car and a current Police Check.

Salary:   $40-$45 per hour depending on Experience

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
