We are working with an UHMW family of 3 to hire an exceptional live-in housekeeper who is smart, proactive and hardworking and who is open to growth within their role to potentially step up to Head Housekeeper over time. You will take complete responsibility for the upkeep of the apartment and work alongside the family’s chauffeur and executive assistant. The family currently resides in an apartment near Knightsbridge but will be relocating to a larger house nearby in the next 18 months once the renovations are complete.

Whilst the family are in the country, this is a 6-day week, with your day off taken mid-week. The family leave the UK for most of the school holidays where a 5-day work week is in place.

A driving license is not essential but would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and maintaining the household, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping
  • Doing laundry, ironing, and caring for delicate fabrics
  • Making beds and changing linens regularly
  • Organising wardrobes, cupboards, and general tidying of rooms
  • Packing and unpacking for travel
  • Managing household supplies
  • Receiving deliveries and supervising tradespeople or contractors
  • Ensuring security of the home when family is away
  • Maintaining discretion and respecting the family's privacy at all times

Ideal Candidate

  • Be fully flexible during the family’s time in London
  • Be discreet, smart, warm, and capable of taking initiative
  • Have experience supporting UHNW households
  • Handle errands and shopping for both the household and principals
  • Take ownership of all housekeeping and organisational tasks
  • Be familiar with wardrobe management, suitcase packing, and general household coordination

Package

  • Own bedroom and bathroom within the apartment
  • Salary: £48,000 – £52,000
  • Working schedule: 6 day working week when the family are in residence, 5 day working week during all school holidays then the family are out of the country

 

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
