Live-in Maintenance Manager | St Tropez, France | EU Passport/Right to work in EU

Overview

A capable and discreet Maintenance Manager is required to oversee the full upkeep and smooth functioning of a private estate near Ramatuelle, St. Tropez.

This is a live-in role, ideally suited to a quiet, detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.

This is a hands-on position with responsibility for day-to-day maintenance and oversight of third-party contractors when needed. The successful candidate will demonstrate longevity in previous roles, a proactive mindset, and a high level of discretion and professionalism.

Job duties

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager in St. Tropez include:

• Oversee and execute general maintenance across the estate, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times
• Provide expert-level electrical maintenance (must be a certified electrician)
• Maintain and troubleshoot air conditioning systems, heat exchanges, and heat pumps
• Coordinate and manage external contractors and service providers as needed
• Liaise with the household’s security team and report to the Principal or their representative
• Manage procurement and scheduling of property-related services including cleaning and waste management
• Be available for emergency callouts and provide flexible support where necessary
• Carry out routine inspections and pre-empt potential issues before they escalate

Candidates must be/have:

• A certified electrician with a recognised qualification
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience, ideally within high-end residential or luxury estates
• EU Passport/Right to work in France
• Proven longevity in previous roles
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical networks, and general facilities maintenance
• Professional, discreet, and able to work autonomously
• Calm, proactive, and solutions-focused
• Fluent in English (French would be a plus)

Accommodation
Shared accommodation provided on the estate. No dependants.

Hours
Full-time. Flexibility required, including availability for out-of-hours callouts and weekend support when needed.

Near Ramatuelle, St. Tropez.

Salary
€4,000 net per month.
