Butler – London

A long-standing, fully committed client is looking to hire an experienced, all rounded butler to join their household in South Kensington. Working as part of a small team, reporting to the House Manager you will provide the highest standards of service in an intimate private home environment. 
The Principals are a couple who live between London and the South of France. Being part of a small team requires each team member to be flexible with their duties to cover when colleagues are off or on leave. You must love dogs!

This is a live out position so you must already have your own accommodation secured within a commutable distance of Kensington. 

Key Responsibilities 
 

• Provide highest levels of food and beverage service to principles and guests, both in formal & informal settings
• Maintaining stock levels of bar & wine and replacing when needed
• Prepare light meals for the family
• Work together with the House Manager, and the rest of the team to ensure cleanliness & organisation of the house to kept to the standard of the principles
• Provide a turn down service
• Driving the principles and guests as required. Valeting of the cars and actioning vehicle maintenance, under the supervision of the House Manager
• Daily purchasing and running errands
• Care of family dogs along with the rest of the team. Including care when Principles are traveling & daily walking
• Carry out odd jobs in the house regarding maintenance including light bulb checks, learn operations of A/C, A/V equipment & all alarm systems
• May be required to travel with the principles for short weekend family breaks in the UK
• On the odd occasion may be asked to assist for a short period of time at principle’s other properties abroad

Ideal Candidate
 

• Strong experience gained in either yachts, 5* chalets, private households or 5* hotels
• Have your own accommodation already secured in London
• Driving licence is highly desirable
• Dog friendly
• Communication and computer literate (emails, internet, WhatsApp)

Package
 

• Working Hours: 5 days a week – on rotation with the other staff members. Available to work evenings and weekends in essential.
• Live-out: No accommodation is provided
• Full time, permanent
• £45,000 – £50,000 per year
