1st Mate/Officer- 55m Private MY – Sydney Based

• Master 5 / Yachtmaster minimum

Managing a large deck team of up to 4 the 1st mate should have excellent leadership skills and can often lead by example

The vessel operates a large chase / day tender and the 1st mate should have excellent small vessel handling skills.

Clean drivers’ licence is a must– Driving duties for the guests on occasion.

The vessel maintains a permanent base in Sydney (12 months) and rarely does any overnight trips.

The position would suit a 1st mate looking to progress their career whilst maintaining a shore-based existence

5 day working week, 2 days off. Working the weekends and public holidays.
4 weeks annual leave.
Overnight watchkeeper on a full crew rotation. (Around 1 watch every 7 – 10 days).

The ideal candidate should have time as a Bosun or 1st Mate on reputable programs overseas and is genuinely ready for a shore-based lifestyle

Start: End of May (with thorough handover)

Salary: $125,000 plus Super DOE
