Seasonal Nanny – Italy & Switzerland

Silver Swan is currently seeking a Temporary Nanny to assist the family’s long-term nanny in the care of two children: a 3-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl, during a busy and travel-intensive summer between the 10th of June until the 4th of September 2025. This role requires a calm, capable, and flexible individual who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, and maintains high standards of professionalism and kindness.

The position involves extensive travel across Italy and Switzerland, often involving long-distance car journeys, varied accommodation settings (family homes, hotels, chalets), changing weather, and a high-energy schedule of physical activities and social events. You will be part of a six-person household team, and collaboration is key.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in caring for two children (aged 3 and 11) across different living environments.
• Escort children to scheduled activities, day trips, and camps.
• Prepare and serve nutritious snacks and meals.
• Support consistent routines including bathing, dressing, and bedtime.
• Lead children in age-appropriate, enriching play and educational activities.
• Maintain tidy, safe, and organized play areas and belongings.
• Provide behavioral structure with patience and clarity.
• Run errands and respond to ad hoc family requests as needed.
• Help with packing and unpacking, ensuring children's belongings remain organized and accounted for.
• Follow existing procedures and checklists to ensure smooth daily operations.

Ideal Candidate:

• Must hold an EU passport 
• Fluent English speaker
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in childcare or a similar nanny role
• Able to adapt quickly to new environments and changing schedules
• Excellent multitasking, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Team player with a proactive and service-oriented mindset
• Calm under pressure with a can-do attitude
• Open to working in a shared but respectful living arrangement with other staff

Package:

• 8-hour workdays, up to 48 hours per week
• 1 day off per week (flexible, based on travel and family plans)
• 1-hour lunch break per day
• Accommodation with private bedroom provided
• Food, transport, and grocery expenses covered
• Salary: €1,200 Net per Week
