We are looking for an experienced Deck/Steward(ess) for a beautiful 24-meter catamaran (Lagoon 77) based between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, starting in October 2024. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Flag: Cayman Islands
Usage: Charter and private
Itinerary: Winter season in Antibes with downtime, followed by the summer season in the Mediterranean
The ideal candidate should have experience on sailing yachts (S/Y) as a deckhand, with a willingness to advance, and also be ready to assist the stewardess when needed. Accommodation will be provided in a private cabin.
Duties and Responsibilities
Welcome guests on board with courtesy and professionalism.
Respond to the specific needs and requests of passengers, ensuring a high level of service at all times.
Keep common areas clean and tidy (salon, cockpit, decks).
Assist the stewardess with maintaining the cleanliness of guest cabins, bathrooms, and common areas as needed, and help with serving meals and drinks according to quality standards.
Operate the yacht’s tender with passengers.
Clean and polish the catamaran’s surfaces, including decks, balconies, and outdoor equipment.
Assist with navigation maneuvers, including mooring, anchoring, and departures.
Manage ropes, lines, and fenders.
Help with basic maintenance of the catamaran, including cleaning decks, hulls, and nautical equipment.
Assist in preparing and maintaining water sports equipment (diving, snorkeling, paddleboarding, etc.).
Know and apply safety procedures on board.
Monitor and ensure the safety of passengers at all times.
Serve as the captain’s right-hand person and meet daily expectations.
Candidate Profile
Basic Safety (STCW 2010) required.
Must be available and flexible.
Ability to work in a team.
Autonomous and organized.
Passionate about their job with a desire to advance in the field.
Fluency in English and a good knowledge of French are advantages.
An international passport is a plus.
Employment Conditions
Position Available From: October 2024

Starting from €3,500 net per month, before income tax.
Language Requirements:
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
