Sailing Yacht Project – Trade assist / junior Captain - Gold Coast

Position Snapshot
• Gold Coast Based (with accommodation included)
• Initial yard project until launch next year
• Working with trades & technical
A unique opportunity has become available for a sailing professional to be involved with a refit during the final 6 months prior to launch.
The sailing professional must be technically minded and hands on and can work alongside trades & project team, from pulling apart winches to assisting with gel coat/ teak repair or maintenance, and will also be involved with re-launch and sea trials
Once the vessel splashes it will sail to far off the beaten track locations, crossing oceans with Antarctica on its radar.
Accommodation can be provided on the Gold Coast for the right candidate

The Ideal Candidate
• Real sailor with strong passion for cruising
• Technically minded
• Strong with maintenance
• Understanding of sail systems, rigging, winches, hydraulics
• Enjoys being on the tools
• Can assist with Sea trials / deliveries
• Previous superyacht sail experience advantageous
• Yacht master (sail) or similar
• Working rights in Australia

Contract: 6 months with opportunity for ongoing
Salary: Attractive day / hourly rate
Start: When Found
