2nd Engineer (MY 60m)(Min EOOW)

A contract rotational engineer is urgently required onboard a 60-metre motor yacht currently in Italy. The right candidate should be ready to fly to join the vessel in Italy before lunchtime on Tuesday, May 28th, 2024. All your documents should be in order and valid without any issues. You should hold a minimum of EOOW or Y3 and should preferably have a minimum of 2 years in the yacht industry or 1 year on a very busy charter programme with a proven track record at sea. The contract will run until earliest 10 June 2024 but could become permanent for the right candidate with rotation 2:2 months on:off. Ideally you should have been exposed to various AVIT systems so that you can take on more responsibility in this area but this is not critical.

Job Specification

• Valid STCW '10 Certificates.
• Valid ENG1 Medical.
• Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD).
• Y3, EOOW or SV Second Engineer CoC as a minimum
• Preferably, hold a vaccination for Covid-19
• Minimum experience of 2 years in superyachting or 1 year on bust charter program.
• Experienced with MTU main propulsion and generators an advantage
• Knowledge and experience with IDEA Planned Maintenance System.
• Must speak English fluently, preferably mother tongue
• Good health, no criminal record, non-smoker, no visible tattoos
• Highly organized, clean and tidy worker with good sobriety
• Should be personable, teachable and willing to help out in other aspects on the vessel
