Silver Swan Recruitment is seeking a qualified and caring Paediatric Nurse/Childcare Provider, to join a UHNW Household in Abu-Dhabi, on a permanent basis.
We are looking for an accomplished Paediatric Nurse with experience in post-operation recovery, preferably brain-surgery aftercare, or a NICU Nurse.
Ideally, this candidate will have a degree of knowledge/experience as a non-medical childcare professional too. The Family strongly believe in a gentle response care approach, and the ideal candidate must embrace this philosophy.
Duties will consist of leading the care for a 9-month old infant, post-brain surgery, heading up his physiotherapy, medications and recovery, as well as providing nurturing and developmentally appropriate care on a daily basis. This is a daytime role, 12 hours a day, 6 days a week.
Night shifts are taken care of, however a degree of flexibility is required.
The Paediatric Nurse/Childcare Provider will initially assist the family in the USA for approximately a month, where surgery is going to take place, until the family is ready to return to they residence in Abu Dhabi, UAE. 

Our Esteemed Client is seeking a nurturing Professional, who is willing to be involved in the infant's life long term. Hence, willingness to provide both medical and non-medical care is essential, as you will become integral part of the infant development.

Start date: ASAP. 
Please kindly note that, due to the last minute travel-arrangement required, British passport-holders only will be considered.

Responsibilities: 

  • Taking charge of a 9-month old infant's post-brain-surgery recovery
  • Leading his physiotherapy, as directed by his medical professionals
  • Administering medications, as required
  • Assisting the Infant's Mother with any non-medical daily childcare duties, from bathing, toileting, feeding, napping, etc.,…
  • Looking after the Infant in his daily routine, whether within or outside the home
  • Providing age-appropriate interaction and stimulation, to promote developmental growth
  • Assisting the Mother as required, with child-related duties
  • The Family travel extensively and, health permitting, they would like the Infant to take part in that as much as possible
  • (No domestic duties are expected). 
  • Work schedule: 12 hours shift (mainly daytime), 6 days a week.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Paediatric Nurse, with extensive experience in post-surgery recovery, preferably brain-surgery aftercare
  • A NICU Nurse would be a bonus
  • Ideally, a degree of knowledge/experience as a non-medical childcare professional as well
  • Must embrace a Gentle Response approach
  • A quiet and respectful individual
  • Great respect for confidentiality
  • Flexibility is a must, embracing last-minute plan changes
  • Willingness to travel with the Family
  • Willingness to take up further specific short courses if necessary (the family will assist to this, financially)
  • British passport-holders only can be considered at this stage

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
