Housekeeper – Nantucket

Silver Swan are currently working on a wonderful opportunity for an experienced full-time Housekeeper to join a prominent HNW family in Nantucket for the summer season. The successful Housekeeper will be joining a beautiful new home in Nantucket on a temporary basis while the family are in residence, from early June to early September 2024. This Housekeeper role will primarily consist of day-to-day cleaning to the highest standards, laundry and caring for fine garments, assisting with vendors, and occasional light cooking/meal prep, as well as grocery shopping and running errands when required. The ideal Housekeeper will be warm and friendly, as well as professional and discreet. This home has incredibly high standards, so previous experience working as a Housekeeper for HNW or UHNW clients is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily cleaning duties to maintain the home’s high standards.
• Oversee the organization and cleanliness of all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and common spaces.
• Manage the care and maintenance of high-end furnishings, fixtures, and delicate surfaces.
• Coordinate with the nanny, chefs, gardeners, and maintenance personnel, to ensure seamless operations.
• Handle laundry and wardrobe management, including ironing, steaming, and closet organization.
• Removing outdoor furniture covers in the morning, and replacing them in the evening.
• Assist with any events or with entertaining, ensuring the estate is immaculate before and after any gatherings.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement efficient cleaning procedures.
• Any additional duties as required by the Principal

• Strong command of the English language and excellent communication skills

• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, listen well and adapt
• Previous experience as a Housekeeper in luxury homes for HNW clients is essential
• Excellent references required from previous employers
• MUST be eligible to work in the US

Package:

• Start date: Early June – Early September contract
• Package: Live-in/Live-out, depending on candidate’s requirements
• Hours: 8am – 3pm, (+1 hour in the evenings) – 5/6 days per week
• Salary: Up to $50 an hour, plus overtime.
