Estate Maintenance Manager

Location | Ramatuelle, St Tropez

Salary | Up to €6,000 net per month

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Seasonal Estate Maintenance Manager for our client’s private villa in Ramatuelle, St Tropez.

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of all equipment, systems, and facilities on our property. This includes identifying and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, performing repairs, and coordinating with outside contractors as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as experience in managing multiple maintenance projects. They will also be resilient, a problem solver and have a high degree of initiative.

Please note, this is a seasonal position, running from June to October.

Job duties

• Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan for the villa, including regular inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules for all aspects of the property, such as landscaping, buildings, utilities, and amenities
• Coordinate with external contractors, service providers, and vendors for maintenance, repair, and renovation projects. This involves sourcing reliable vendors, negotiating contracts, overseeing their work quality, and ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints
• Prepare and manage the estate maintenance budget, forecasting expenses for routine upkeep, emergency repairs, and capital improvements. Monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints while seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
• Direct and supervise a team of maintenance personnel, gardeners, cleaners, and security staff. Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols
• Develop contingency plans and protocols for handling emergencies such as natural disasters, security breaches, or equipment failures. Coordinate swift responses to mitigate risks, ensure the safety of residents and staff, and minimize property damage.

Candidates must be/have:

• Previous experience in a similar position, within a private household/luxury hotel
• EU Passport / right to work in France
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong project management skills and a team player
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Accommodation
Self-contained apartment (close to the main property), with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sitting room, will be provided.

Location
Ramatuelle, St. Tropez.

Hours
Full time. The role is Monday to Friday, 9.00am-6.00pm. Weekends on call in case of emergencies.
