Full-time Housekeeper/Nanny for busy father in Brisbane – KALM

A professional and busy father who travels regularly is seeking a full-time housekeeper/House manager who is comfortable with all home duties and ensuring the well-being of the children.  The two younger ones are 14 & 15 and the older adult child is self-sufficient therefore your duties will only revolve around the two younger children.

The children are only in residence every second week therefore the weeks will alternate with duties pertinent to his travel plans but there will be plenty to do even when they are not in residence.  There is a live-in option available or your ability to stay overnight on occasions would be welcome in the case he may be away interstate for an additional night.

Responsibilities

• Transport children to and from school and extracurricular activities
• Ensure children’s safety during indoors and outdoors activities
• Take care of children in case of injury or illness
• General household cleaning and tidying. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Making/changing all the household beds, household laundry and ironing, cleaning the bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces, organizing, vacuuming or dusting rooms, sweeping and mopping floors throughout the house
• Preparing and cooking meals and snacks for the entire family (service not required, just meal prep)
• Ensure fridge/cupboards is stocked
• Running errands including dry cleaning, grocery shopping, post office
• Liaising with tradespeople, taking phone calls, sending post

Requirements and skills

• Previous experience in childcare / housekeeping
• Availability to work in shifts, during weekends, in the evenings, full days and overnight at short notice (live in option available)
• Multitasking skills
• A pleasant and patient personality
• A clean driving license
• High school diploma
• First aid certification is a plus
• Working with Children Check
• Budgeting Skills
• Non Smoker

A salary package is on offer circa $75-$80,000 with leave entitlements and Superannuation package.
