Housekeeper / Household Assistant, London

Silver Swan are working on a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper / House Assistant to join a prominent HNW family in a newly renovated contemporary home in Fitzroy Square, London. The successful Housekeeper / House Assistant will be joining a small team, providing support to the House Manager when needed. This Housekeeper / House Assistant role will consist of day-to-day cleaning, laundry and caring for fine garments, as well as assisting the family when required, and overall ensuring that the property runs smoothly and to the highest of standards. The family are looking for someone switched on and proactive, who is able to raise the standards in the home, and take initiative to make the home a warm, welcoming environment for family and staff. Responsibilities:

• All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residences, ensuring the home is kept clean, safe and secure at all times.
• Providing support to the House Manager and family when required.
• Assisting the family with travel arrangements, running errands, and organising and dry cleaning..
• Maintenance of tidiness throughout all areas of the household.
• Laundry, including caring for fine garments.
• Taking initiative to source flowers and home décor where needed, making improvements, and creating a warm and welcoming home environment.
• Overseeing household inventory, including managing expenses for cleaning supplies.
• Assisting the family with travel plans, including packing and unpacking, with the potential to travel with the family when required.
• Additional duties as requested.

 
Ideal Candidate:

• Strong command of the English language and excellent communication skills.
• Professional, polished and well-presented.
• Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team, listen well and adapt, whilst also having the motivation to take on tasks as an individual.
• A preference for 3+ years working for HNW clients, with proven longevity as a full-time Housekeeper / House Assistant.
• Flexibility to work longer hours when required.
• Excellent references from previous employers.

 
Package:

• Salary: £45,000 per annum
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 9-5. Flexibility is required.
• Start date: ASAP
• Live-out
