Position Snapshot
• 5750€- 6750€ / Month DOE
• Foreign Flagged
• Sydney based, with pacific Island trip in winter
• Live ashore (preference) or onboard

A high profile 42m private MY that maintains a base in Sydney is on the search for an experienced chief officer to join their program.
The yacht runs an extremely high standard and will look favourably on candidates who have come from reputable programs overseas.
The yacht is largely based in Sydney 9-10 months / year but is likely to head out to the South Pacific Islands over winter ( New Caledonia / Fiji or similar)
The vessel is used strictly for private use with the owner occasionally hosting very high profile guests onboard.
The CO will oversee all deck operations, assist with ISM implementation, manage an experienced deckhand, conduct regular drills, assist captain with ships paperwork , safety equipment, passage planning, lead bridge watches ect
As the yacht ( and crew) are largely based out of Sydney , preference will be given to candidates with ties to Sydney or looking to establish themselves in the area.

The Ideal Candidate
• Minimum Yachtmaster / master 5 or higher , OOW preferable
• Time on Superyachts overseas
• High level of professionalism
• Senior deck time on good programs
• ISM experience
• Ties to Sydney favourable
• Friendly management style
• Good bridge management skills
• STCW and seafarer medical
• Can undergo a thorough background check/screening
• Work rights for Australia (but paid in Euro)
