Live in Housekeeper, Dorset

Silver Swan is currently seeking a dedicated Live-in Housekeeper for a stunning household near Sherbourne, Dorset. This lovely Couple have three school aged children and a very friendly 2 year old Labrador, so we are looking for dog lovers! This 5 bedroom listed property is my clients’ full time residence, and has recently been full renovated. As well as the main house, there are 2 office outbuildings on the property that will require occasional cleaning. There is also a tennis court and swimming pool on the property.

My clients don’t entertain much, but when they do, the Housekeeper would be required to assist with front of house and service.

The successful Housekeeper will be working alongside a full time Couple, and all staff report directly to the principals. This is a live in position, with a beautiful 1 bedroom annexe available for the Housekeeper.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning, laundry, and ironing
• General housekeeping
• Preparing the guest house and bedrooms when required
• Turndown service in the evening
• Occasional help with serving at dinner parties
• Ad hoc babysitting – plenty of notice will be given
• Keyholder when the family and couple are away
• Happy to assist with dog walking duties
• Occasionally preparing and cooking basic, family style meals

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper
• Animal friendly
• Happy to assist with babysitting when required
• MUST have the right to live and work in the UK

Package:

• Accommodation: Separate 1 bedroom annexe with outdoor space. All bills included, pets may be considered
• Start: ASAP
• Working week: 8am – 6.30pm Monday – Friday with a 2-hour break
• Salary: £35k+ gross per annum
