Full Time Yacht Captain for 2022 Vanquish 58

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Full-Time Yacht Captain to command the Vanquish 58 for the summer of 2024. The Captain will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the yacht, including full maintenance oversight, operational readiness, and providing on-demand captain services. The role requires someone with exceptional maritime skills, a deep understanding of luxury vessel operations, and a commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for the family.
Key Responsibilities:
• Command and navigate the yacht safely in various conditions, adhering to all maritime laws and regulations.
• Oversee and perform regular maintenance checks and coordinate necessary repairs to ensure the vessel is in optimal condition.
• Manage all aspects of yacht operations, including fueling, provisioning, cleanliness, and readiness for family use.
• Plan and execute itineraries based on the family's preferences, including trips to local destinations, Connecticut, NYC, and the Hamptons/Sag Harbor.
• Provide a high level of service and ensure a pleasant and safe experience for the family and guests aboard.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation related to the yacht's operation, maintenance, and expenses.
Qualifications:
• Possess a clean Captain's license with a minimum rating of 100 tons.
• Extensive knowledge of the local waters around the North Shore area, Connecticut, NYC, and the Hamptons/Sag Harbor is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience captaining luxury yachts, with a solid track record of safe and efficient vessel management.
• Strong understanding of yacht maintenance requirements and ability to coordinate repairs and upkeep.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide discreet and respectful service to the family and guests.
• Flexibility to accommodate the family's schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Professional demeanor and appearance, with a commitment to excellence in service.
