Overview

A private estate near Tisbury, Wiltshire, is looking to recruit an organised, honest, and energetic Cleaner / Cook. This person must have a sense of humour and be at ease around dogs.

They must also have a good level of cooking skills, as the role will involve ensuring the fridge and freezer is well-stocked for the Principal.

Job duties:
Responsibilities of the Cleaner / Cook include:

• Assisting the Housekeeper with maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the house to a very high standard
• Assisting in the walking and feeding of dogs as necessary, and to the vet’s check up
• Assisting with laundry, ironing, steaming clothes as required
• Responsible for preparing nutritious meals and refreshments for the family, and following any dietary requirements as necessary
• Complying with and understanding all Health and Safety regulations
• Managing and replenishing kitchen stocks for the fridges, freezers, larder, and storerooms with household groceries & food supplies
• Maintaining order and cleanliness in the kitchen areas, fridges & freezers

Candidates must be/have:

• A high attention to detail is required whether with food preparation or with housekeeping duties
• Reliability, adaptability, flexibility and prepared to learn
• Planning and organisation
• Integrity and honesty
• Good level of cooking skills
• Excellent checkable references
• A full clean driver’s licence

Accommodation
A self-contained two bedroom cottage can be provided if the suitable candidate would like to live-in.

Hours
Full-time hours, with a degree of flexibility.
