Domestic Couple

Silver Swan is currently searching for a Private Chef and Domestic Helper Couple to work within our client’s household in Zurich, Switzerland. With a keen appreciation for healthy and diverse cuisine, we seek a dedicated Private Chef and Domestic Helper Couple to join the family’s team. The ideal candidates will embody positivity, trustworthiness, and a genuine passion for enriching family life, and will be looking for a position with longevity, as our client is in search of a couple who would like to be a part of the household for a considerable length of time. The Private Chef and Domestic Helper Couple’s responsibilities revolve around the family’s day-to-day life, as well as catering to their guests and relatives that visit the property regularly.

Chef Responsibilities:

• Procure high-quality, fresh, and healthy groceries for the family
• Craft nutritious and varied dinners on weekdays, aligning with Mediterranean, Californian, or Australian culinary styles, often leaning towards vegetarian options
• Prepare small dishes for next-day consumption
• Cook for family gatherings every two weeks, accommodating 6 to occasionally 12 guests, while also managing table settings
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and food supplies
• Adapt to food intolerances, such as celiac disease, with proficiency
• Flexibility to actively participate in family activities and events
• Proficient in German or English, with a driver's licence, preferably owning a car

Ideal Chef Candidate:

• Possesses several years of experience as a chef in demanding environments, demonstrating adaptability and creativity
• Thrives in a family-oriented setting, fostering trust and discretion
• Enjoys contributing to family traditions and experiences
• Flexible and responsive to changes in the family's schedule and preferences

Domestic Helper Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the household
• Assist with table service during gatherings and manage laundry and linen closets
• Coordinate household maintenance and perform minor repairs when necessary
• Attend to flower arrangements and assist with light gardening tasks
• Assist with minor errands and occasional child transportation
• Potential assistance with pet care for a small dog

Ideal Domestic Helper Candidate:

• Brings years of experience in a similar household environment, emphasising attention to detail and fostering a welcoming atmosphere
• Adaptable and participative in family activities and traditions
• Proficient in German or English, with a driver's licence
• Demonstrates discretion and integrity in all aspects of the role

Additional Information:

• Separate accommodation available, with the possibility of relocation proximity to the workplace after a training period
• Flexibility required for occasional travel and holiday accompaniment
• The couple will work collaboratively, complementing each other's roles and supporting larger family events

Package:

• Salary: €5000+ net Per Month, combined
• Accommodation provided
• Full-time, Permanent role
• Start Date: September 2024
