Location :Saudi Arabia

Package:-

  • Live in – all expenses paid

  • 12-Month renewable contract 

Job Summary:-

The Seamstress is expected to look after guests clothing. The Seamstress is expected to know how to plan daily duties and prioritize guests needs and has to be perfect with quest, mending, and sewing staff uniforms. The Seamstress is expected to have a good eye for details and to be able to look after all sewing equipment. 

Background, Skills and Abilities:-

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar level
  • Good command of English (Spoken & Written)
  • Flexible and willing to work
  • Good team player, assists when and where needed
  • Flexible with working overtime at special occasions, adapt easily to last minute changes
  • Able to fix basic problems with sewing machine and other sewing equipment
  • Basic laundry operation knowledge (preferred)

General Duties and Responsibilities:-

  • Correctly adjust or repair and press off all kinds of fabrics.
  • Perform all phases of sewing and alterations.
  • Identify the appropriate components to be used to complete the repairs and customization.
  • Apply patches and sew on embellishments when necessary.
  • Ensure all the uniforms are labelled, with the correct registrations in the system, such as name, employee number, department, and number of items.
  • Report to your supervisor when the uniform is destroyed, missing, or does not fit the size.
  • Familiarity with and competency in using hand tools to remove zippers.
  • To be well groomed, hygienically clean, and complete neat uniforms.
  • Take an active role in accident prevention and be knowledgeable in job and Fire Safety.
  • Keep your workplace and equipment clean all the time.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
