House Manager/Home cook

Silver Swan is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Healthy Home Cook/House Manager to join a private household in Dubai, UAE. This full-time position requires a culinary professional with expertise in preparing healthy meals and managing household activities. The successful Home Cook/House Manager will play a crucial role in creating a nourishing and organised living environment for the family whilst being able to balance the various elements of each half of the role. Responsibilities:

• Prepare healthy meals according to the employers’ recipes or preferences, managing all meals for the family and potentially other household staff
• Stock, organise, and clean kitchens and cooking utensils, maintaining a hygienic and non-toxic environment
• Shop for or order food, kitchen supplies, and equipment, ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked with high-quality ingredients
• Serve meals and snacks to the family and their guests, presenting dishes with attention to detail
• Plan menus based on the family’s needs and any dietary restrictions
• Plan and prepare food for special occasions, parties, holiday meals, lunches, and other social events
• Handle food-related activities, including the presentation and serving of meals, with an emphasis on creativity and quality
• Peel, wash, trim, and cook vegetables and meats to perfection
• Manage the household pet, a Maltese dog, by serving his meals twice a day (meals ordered from a Pet Nutritionist)
• Assess and restock wine and spirit collections as necessary, maintaining a well-curated selection
• Take on a House Manager role, coordinating and handling external deliveries or services within the household

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in English for effective communication
• Culinary expertise with a focus on healthy and specialised diets
• Comfortable around animals with experience in caring for small dogs
• Highly organised and detail-oriented
• Ability to plan and execute meals for various occasions
• Knowledgeable in maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment
• Flexibility and adaptability in handling diverse household responsibilities

Package:
