Governess

Silver Swan is currently seeking a highly qualified Governess to manage a team of 4-6 nannies for two girls aged 4 and 6 in Qatar. Our client is looking for a professional who is not only proficient in Arabic and fluent in English but also holds a deep understanding of the Islamic faith and holds the ability to teach the Quran to the children. The Governess will play a crucial role in ensuring the children's well-being, education, and overall development. The Governess will be responsible for providing a nurturing and educational environment for two young children, whilst upholding their cultural and religious values.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and manage a team of 4-6 nannies, ensuring they provide exceptional care to the children. 
• Create a structured and nurturing environment that fosters the children's growth and development.
• Teach the Quran and Islamic values to the children, incorporating religious education into their daily routine. 
• Oversee inventory management for children's belongings, ensuring all necessary supplies are well-maintained and organised. 
• Monitor and enforce cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards around the children. 
• Ensure that homework assignments are completed, and educational goals are met, especially in English. 
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities to stimulate the children's learning and creativity.
• Foster good behaviour and discipline, instilling manners, respect, and cultural awareness. 
• Maintain open and transparent communication with the parents regarding the children's progress and well-being. 

Ideal Candidate: 

• Fluent in English and proficient in Arabic.
• Profound understanding of the Islamic faith and the ability to teach the Quran and Islamic values to children. 
• Previous experience as a Governess or in a similar role, with a background in child education. 
• Leadership skills to effectively manage a team of nannies. 
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational skills, including inventory management. 
• Patient, nurturing, and capable of creating a safe and stimulating environment for children.
• Strong educational background, with a focus on language and literacy development. 
• Flexible and adaptable to meet the unique needs and schedules of the family. 
• Respectful of cultural sensitivities and customs, maintaining a high level of discretion. 

Package: 

• Salary: €4,000 Euros per month
