Up to $85,000 AUD + Super (Experienced)

A high-profile Australian family is on the search for a presentable / professional deckhand to join their ‘soon to arrive’ 50m Private MY that will be basing out of Australia.

The yacht will be based in Sydney around 10 months / year with an occasional trip out to the South Pacific Islands (likely New Caledonia) or the Whitsundays over the winter period.

The seasoned superyacht owners is seeking experienced , responsible superyacht crew who have a high standard of professionalism and are serious about progressing their career.

The captain is hoping for a deckhand with at least a season’s experience who is presentable and hardworking, who can learn under the guidance of an experienced Bosun & 1St Officer

The yacht will be used for private use only and will remain foreign flagged and is flexible on qualifications

The deckhand will be involved in all deck operations , including tender driving, watches, wash downs, maintenance, docking , anchoring and launching of craft

The yacht is open to candidates within Australian / NZ regions only and have the ability to sponsor if foreign national , however candidates with work rights in Australia / NZ would be highly considered

The vessel can accommodate crew who wish to live onboard or ashore , and they must contribute to the weekly watch roster onboard

The Ideal Candidate

1 season’s yacht experience (minimum)
Tender driving experience
Good knowledge of deck maintenance products
High level of professionalism
Wanting to progress deck tickets and experience
Longevity in previous positions
High attention to detail
Well presented.
Can work well within a small deck team
Hard working & self-motivated
STCW
Can obtain a NSW recreational boat license or Coxswain

Salary: $65,000-$85,000 AUD + Super (Pending Experience Level), standard Australian leave entitlements
