Overview

We are currently in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented live-out Housekeeper to join our client’s residence in Central London, SW1X.

This is a full-time, permanent role that demands flexibility in working hours to cater to the Principals’ requirements.

Situated in the heart of Central London, the residence is an impressive 7-storey townhouse, boasting luxury amenities such as a pool, spa area, and a top-floor home gym with stunning views overlooking Westminster.

The ideal candidate should be physically fit, exceptionally organised, possess a meticulous approach to cleaning, and have a deep understanding of fine furnishings, artwork, and antiques.

A genuine passion for presenting a home at its finest is crucial. Additionally, the candidate should be a reliable, discrete and adaptable team player, who brings a warm sense of humour to the role.

The successful candidate will work with a wider team comprising of a House Manager, Deputy House Manager, Housekeeper and Security.

Start date: January 2024.

Job duties:

Responsibilities of the live-out Housekeeper in Central London include:

General housekeeping and cleaning:

• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the townhouse
• Execute thorough cleaning tasks with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring an immaculate condition
• Care for fine furnishings, artwork, and antiques using appropriate cleaning techniques
• Manage laundry, including delicate fabrics and garment care

Candidates must have/be:

• Prior experience as a Housekeeper in a Private Household/Yacht or a similar setting
• Physical fitness and capability to handle demanding cleaning tasks
• Outstanding organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
• Knowledgeable about cleaning techniques for fine furnishings, artwork, and antiques
• A passion for maintaining a beautiful and well-presented home
• Dependability and a commitment to meeting the Principals’ needs
• Discretion and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Flexibility to work weekends and late evenings as required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A warm sense of humour and the ability to foster a positive work environment

Accommodation

This is a live-out position, so accommodation is not provided.

Hours 

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with a degree of flexibility.
