Handyman, Luxury Villa, Private property, SOF, Saint Tropez

About the Property:

It is a magnificent domaine of 3 hectares including 2 beautiful Villas of 1000 m2 and 700 m2 located in Saint Tropez.  There are 11 bedrooms all in all. The Villa is facing the Mediterranean sea. 

This position is ideally a LIVE-OUT position. Therefore, candidates living close to Saint Tropez would be preferred. 

The project:

We are looking for an experienced & professional Handyman willing to take a long seasonal contract which, if both sides are happy, could become a permanent contract. 

The position is fill in as soon as possible. Of course, the Villa is willing to find the suitable candidate and they will conduct a proper recruitment. Therefore, the position will start soon enough, based on the path of the recruitment process. 

You will be under the supervision of the Villa Manager and you will be working together.

The owners visit the Villa from Mid June / Beginning July until Mid September, for a period of about 3 months. They also generally come over for several weekends in April and in May.

During the autumn and winter season, the family will come from time to time to enjoy their home. 

The duties of the Handyman will be as follows:

You will be in charge of all the technical duties in regards to the exterior part of the Villa and you will report directly to the Villa Manager of the property.

More precisely, you will be in charge of :

• Sweeping and cleaning all the terraces. 
• Making sure all the exterior area, entrance, guard room, technical rooms and alleys remain always clean and tidy 
• Bring the bins out and clean the bins
• Taking care of the garden area and assisting the gardener(s), indeed, there are already gardeners working in the property. You will give them a hand from time to time. Every body works and helps one another within the team.
• Cleaning the cars on the property as instructed ( inside and out, fueling the cars, making sure that the tires are pumped up, that there is always oil and general care of a car)
• Cleaning the swimming pool and making sure that there are no leaves in the water
• Checking the automatic watering system, looking over the garden and pool, and in case of issues, warning the contractors in case of big repairs. For small repairs, such as repairing a leak, you will be in charge.
• Transporting guests : there are chauffeurs in the Villa and security who take this part in charge but if needed in case of emergency, you can be entitled to doing so. 
• Doing some groceries for the Villa, for the kitchen when the Chef or the Cook needs a hand on bying some products, buying or collecting some items for the owners if needed. 

Of course, this list should not be exhaustive and can be completed by other and various demands.
You may also be in charge of  : 

• You will be in charge of doing small repairs in plumbing, electricity, painting, fixing doors if they do not open and close properly. 

However, it is very important that you have a good knowledge in repairs, do-it-yourself jobs and in handy jobs in order to understand the kind of issues that could appear. 

You would also be offering your assistance in the 'service' inside the villa as needed.

Desired Profile

• You must be very autonomous and able to report and respect your hierarchy in the same time.
• You are a multitasking person and flexible, able to follow the processes that are already implemented and able to be reactive when facing something unusual. If someone in the team needs help, you need to be hands on. The team is very close, and everybody, even the Villa Manager work hands in hands. 
• Hardworking with a ‘can-do’ positive attitude 
• You are a smiling person, you like to work in a team and you are discrete. You have a positive attitude. 
• You are always on time and present well, you take care of your appearance, even if you are involved in manual jobs. (eg: you make sure that you do not wal into the Villa with dirty shoes on)
• You have a real sense of human relations and communication comes with an ease to you. You are a team player. 
• You have a previous experience in manual jobs and you are skilled
• You have previously worked in private luxury villas and you know how to behave, you are polite and you have good manners. 
• You MUST speak French, another language is a plus
• You MUST have a car and a driving licence as THERE ARE NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTS DESERVING THE VILLA. 

Salary: EUR 2200 net/month - depending on profile and experience.  

French CDD contract. Strong possibility of permanent CDI contract.
