Technical Manager (Monaco)

An exciting opportunity to join a well established yacht management company with excellent growth opportunities. Yachtzoo are looking to hire a Technical Manager to join the team in Monaco and provide expertise and oversight for the managed yacht division. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Review and follow up on technical deficiencies, observations, non-conformities and conditions of class.
• Monitor vessel certification and survey dates
• Liaise with Classification Society, Flag Administration or recognised Organisation for surveys, certification, plan approvals and any   special projects
• Provide a central collaboration point for vessel worklist and ensure a tight specification for any shipyard refit or maintenance   periods
• Review shipyard contracts and specifications and ensure scope is fully respected as well as ensuring acceptable risk and   insurance
• Take lead in implementing and maintaining the technical elements of the Yachtzoo SMS onboard assigned yachts
• Form part of the emergency response team during an emergency on relevant vessel
• Evaluate vessel's level of compliance with relevant IMO, National and Class requirements, monitoring that the equipment on board   is correctly maintained and operated, adequate spares are carried, and to coordinate correction measures for any shortfalls.
• Annual technical inspection / condition summary with follow upon findings and recommendations
• Attend annual and major visits by Class as requested by the Captain / Owner
• Review and provide feedback on monthly safety activity

Candidate must have the right to live / work in France (and/or Monaco) and must be fluent in English. Minimum 5 years experience (in Officer or Managerial role) within the maritime sector (shipboard or shoreside) is required to apply for this position.
