We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Travelling Butler for an UHNW client with properties based in the US, UK and South of France. As the Butler, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional service and ensuring the seamless running of the villa. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a luxurious environment and cater to the needs of high-profile individuals.

The ideal candidate will be formally trained, and display longevity and professionalism throughout their career. Please note, this is a permanent role and can be domiciled in either the UK or France, dependent on the passport of the successful candidate.

The Travelling Butler will work alongside another British Butler.

Job duties:

Working on a rota (two weeks on, off), you will be required to join the client on location, for the most part either in UK, US or South of France.

• Deliver an unparalleled level of service and cater to the unique preferences and requests of guests, ensuring their utmost satisfaction and comfort
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with guests, anticipating their needs and providing personalised assistance throughout their stay
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the villa, coordinating with various departments and ensuring efficient and smooth functioning
• Set up and serve formal meals, including table setting, menu planning, food and beverage service, and knowledge of fine dining etiquette
• Take charge of managing household inventories, including purchasing and restocking supplies, such as the wine cellar, ensuring a well-maintained and fully stocked villa
• Offer concierge services to guests, such as arranging transportation, making reservations, organising activities, and providing recommendations for local attractions
• Oversee the housekeeping staff to ensure the villa is consistently maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness
• Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality, respecting the privacy of guests and maintaining the highest level of discretion at all times

Candidate must be/have:

• Experience in both 5* hotels, and in Private Service, would be a plus
• Native/fluent English speaker
• Formally trained
• Flexible with travel, as they will be travelling to US and Europe predominantly
• The ability to handle sensitive information and maintain the highest level of confidentiality and privacy
• A strong problem-solving ability with a proactive and resourceful approach to overcome challenges

Location
Global. For the most part in UK, US and South of France. Accommodation and subsistence provided in all locations.

Accommodation
Provided whilst on duty.

Hours / working pattern
Two weeks on, two weeks off.

Salary
£50,000 – £60,000 per annum with accommodation, travel and subsistence provided whilst on duty.
