Sole Engineer 35m Expedition charter/private MY- Australia, PNG, Maldives

Position Snapshot

• MED 1 or MCA equivalent
• $140,000-$150,000 AUD / year TRP, DOE
• Hybrid role with some 1st mate responsibilities

Acting as a 2nd & backup to the captain onboard and joining a fulltime crew of 6, the sole engineer will be an exceptional team player who enjoys role variety & adventurous cruising
The vessel has recently finished an extensive year long refit where no expense was spared
Replacing the sole engineer onboard of 3 years , the vessel has been extremely well maintained and the sole engineer will continue the general preventative maintenance schedule onboard (with handover given)
The vessel has adventurous cruising schedules planed that may include destinations such as Kimberley, PNG , Maldives , Exmouth , Abrolhos … with Perth as home port in between trips away

Preferred other skills: Master Class 4 , Master 5 or yachtmaster, STCW, WA cruising experience, superyacht experience preferred, experience with Idea or similar preventative maintenance programs

Other benefits: 6 weeks paid annual leave, full insurance, $2k annual travel allowance for leave, monthly mobile phone allowance

Start Date: Ideally by end of March/early April 2023 (flexible for right candidate)

Salary: $140,000-$150,000 AUD / year.. TRP (Negotiable, DOE)
