Note

We are recruiting a Chief Officer for a 50m private and charter M/Y based in Dubai. Looking for someone with a good knowledge in seamanship, who is self motivated with strong leadership skills. You will have a thorough knowledge of all deck practices and be experienced/happy to train your exterior team. The yacht has just undergone an extensive refit and intends to be a busy dual season vessel with summers cruising the Mediterranean and winters in the Gulf region. The longest boss trip intends to be around 8 weeks during the summer, with frequent guest and boss trips throughout the rest of the year.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Captain, assist with navigational watches
• Maintain LSA/FFE equipment and Safety Management System
• Navigation & passage planning
• Overseeing Bosun and deck team, teaching/training
• Managing inventories
• Tender driving
• Managing the set up and maintenance of onboard water sport equipment
• Overseeing maintenance of the exterior

Ideal Candidate

• Good administrative skills
• Great work ethic, leadership and management skills.
• Guest relation skills, charter experience essential
• Good knowledge of all deck practices
• Excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of water sport equipment/toys
• Must be skilled in boat handling/tenders
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and a proven leader
• Longevity in previous roles
• Verifiable references
• OOW
• Yachtmaster Offshore
• Basic STCW+ Refresher
• SSO or PDSD
• ENG1 or equivalent
• Covid vaccination required
• Must be eligible to work in the UAE
• Must be fluent in English
• Non-Smoker/No visible tattoos
• Male due to cabin arrangements

Salary: €5,000+ Per Month DOE
