We are recruiting for a superstar captain for a private 50m Yacht based in Dubai. This is a permanent position for a captain to lead and work within a new team to ensure the Principal and his friends/family are looked after from the minute they arrive. The captain must oversee the day to day upkeep of the vessel, management of the crew and being a general ambassador for the Yacht with hosting and entertaining guests as required. This intends to be a busy vessel with Summers going around the Mediterranean and Winters in the Gulf region. Longest one time trip intends to be around 8 weeks during the summer, with frequent trips throughout the rest of the year. A Successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UAE and this role starts from December 1st.

Responsibilities

• Full management of the yacht and its navigation for all trips as required
• Ad hoc engineering work when needed or organising an engineer accordingly
• Organise all food shopping before and during the trip
• Driving duties for the family and guests during their visits
• Work closely with the stew to ensure service is 5* at all times

Ideal Candidate

• 500GT master needed
• Experience in yacht size equivalent or bigger
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Safe and competent navigational and ship handling skills
• Extensive experience in the area
• Engineering experience is desirable
• STCW fully updated
• PDSD Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
• Discretion & flexibility is paramount

Salary : 6,500-11,000 Euro's (Negociable)
