Housekeeper/Mum’s Assistant for young family in Mermaid Beach - MMMB

A busy professional mother of two school age boys is seeking an experienced housekeeper who enjoys cooking and following clean and healthy recipes, who can also provide some general light housekeeping duties such as tidying, laundry, ironing, linens and bed-making. They have a weekly cleaner in their lovely multi story apartment on the beach so your duties will be focusing on the family.

Ideally you will be available from 8am – 12pm Mon/Tue/Fri and Wed/Thurs 3pm – 7pm. Mum may also need some assistance with the boys in the afternoons to ensure they are ready for school the next day and lunch boxes are ready to go!

General duties will include:

• Ensuring the home is kept clean, organised and tidy at all times
• Preparing a variety of healthy meals for the family – recipes can be provided
• Changing bed linen and towels
• A thorough knowledge of all laundry duties including delicates (washing, ironing, folding)
• Monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering as required

The ideal candidate will:

• Have good communication skills
• Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
• Have good organisational skills
• Be familiar with correct cleaning techniques and laundry care
• First Aid Certificate
• COVID Vaccination
• Hold a Current Police Check and WWCC (or be prepared to complete both)
• Have good references from past employers

Hours: Mon/Tues/Fri 8am – 12pm and Wed/Thurs 3pm – 7pm

Hourly Rate: $35 depending on experience

Start Date: ASAP

This is a long term, permanent position.
