Our client is urgently seeking a 1st Mate for a private 46m classic sailing yacht.

Mediterranean cruising for the summer and yard period in Spain for a number of months in the winter. The yacht will be embarking on a circumnavigation next year and will also be chartering.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who has a solid sailing background and who is keen for an adventure. This is a very family orientated yacht with owners who like to go 'off the beaten track'.

Previous experience on a classic yacht or racing would also be advantageous as this is very much a hands on manual role.

Candidates already holding OOW would be a great benefit but not essential as not required until operating commercially next year.

Our client will also consider a Bosun or Lead Deckhand who may be looking to 'step up' if hold a Yacht master offshore as minimum and have a proven track record of sailing.

Splicing,/rope work, composite work, painting and varnishing also very advantageous.
