3rd Engineer 85m Expedition Yacht (New Build) – Australia/Worldwide

Are you a young engineer with good AV/IT skills?

Are you interested in an off the beaten track explorer?

A soon to launch 85m Expedition Yacht is on the search for a 3rd engineer to join their team in Western Australia

Joining in the final months prior to sea trials the 3rd engineer will have good time to get to know systems onboard before launch

Working under 2 X rotation 2nd engineers & 2 X rotation Chief engineer the 3rd engineer should be looking to learn and progress

Experience with AV/IT will be highly regarded as will hailing from a trade background, either mechanical or electrical

Crew will comprise of mostly Australian & Kiwis, but open to other nationalities, keen to get their feet wet with the usual watersports of leisure as they pinball around the globe

Likely the yacht will travel to the Maldives for maiden international voyage but TBD

The yacht will be used privately initially but is set up for charter and being built to class

The Ideal Candidate

• Engineering experience on yachts
• Skills in AV/IT
• Can learn HVAC Maintenance.
• Happy to assist on deck, guests on as required.
• No COC required
• Trade background favorable
• Looking for Sea time for tickets
• Good attitude

Desired attributes:
Fit, healthy, presentable.
Happy to fit in with the onboard culture.
Nonsmoker.
The yacht is more remote location, expedition with a focus on in water activities.
Won’t suit someone who wants to get ashore for night life.

Start: 1st August

Salary: Paid in $US dollars, DOE
