Position Snapshot

• $140,000 AUD / Year DOE + Car

• Replacing longstanding captain of 10+ years

MYS is on the search for an experienced yacht captain for a terrific Sydney based owner

The yacht offers a terrific lifestyle opportunity for a captain who desires flexibility and can manage their own time well.

Replacing the longstanding captain of 10 years + the incoming captain will receive a terrific handover and will inherent a wealth of vessel knowledge before taking the reins.

The yacht will head to the Whitsundays in July for an owner’s trip across August/September before returning back to Sydney for start of October

October- July the vessel will be based in Sydney and will operate an estimate of around 10-day trips over this time period

There is flexibility with employment hours depending on Candidate’s requirements, owner is open to fulltime or part-time

It will be a requirement that the captain has their own accommodation ashore

The Ideal Captain

• Command time on similar sized vessels
• Master 4 or MCA equivalent
• Mature personality
• Looking for role flexibility
• Knowledge of Sydney waterways & preferably Whitsundays
• Reliable and can manage their own schedule
• Can relate well to mature owner
• Still active and hands on
• Sydney based with own accommodation

Salary: $140,000 AUD + Car / year DOE

Start: Before end of June
