I very high profile 37m private / charter MY is on the search for a deck / mate to join their mature minded team.
The deck/mate will be employed on fulltime contract (minimum 40 hours / week) but will be paid on an hourly rate when in Sydney so any overtime work is paid.

When away from Sydney , the deck/mate will be paid on a day rate of $400 AUD / day , 7 days / week (if worked) = $2800 AUD / week
The yacht operates a very high standard with little crew turnover and the deck/mate must have an excellent attitude and be very hands on
Time away in the Whitsundays is mostly private trips with the owner, who enjoys diving , however all sea time will be counted as commercial days and a terrific way to knock out sea time for master 5
Whitsunday period from Mid-July to Early October, with potential for time off during yard period
Captain is very big on mentoring, including wheel time, bridge operations

The Ideal Candidate

• Deckhand experience on superyachts or local tourism
• Highly professional
• Exceptional eye for detail
• Based in Sydney with own accommodation ashore
• Tender driving experience
• Reliable and will offer commitment
• Looking to build commercial sea time
