The Sydney Superyacht Marina offers alongside berthing facilities for Superyachts up to 75m. Centrally positioned in Rozelle Bay, the marina is within minutes of Sydney’s CBD, within a popular marine precinct. It provides an exceptional standard of service and a comprehensive range of services for permanent and visiting Superyachts.

The Superyacht Marina has an exciting opportunity for a Marina Attendant who can assist over summer on a casual basis, on average 2-3 days a week.

This will be mainly weekdays but will include the odd weekend and public holiday over Christmas and NYE.
Once trained and comfortable with the (safety) procedures around assisting Superyachts with Groundlines, this person may be asked to assist after hours too.

Typically casual shifts run 0800-1700, and pay around $35/hour including Super plus weekend loading.

The ideal candidate for this role is an up and comer (male of female) who’s keen to get involved in the marina industry.

Subject to performance and interest, a full-time role may be offered to the right candidate from February/March 2022.

A full time role is rewarded with approx. $70K p/a plus super.

Shift hours for a full-time marina attendant are typically 0800 to 1600 or 0900 to 1700, plus occasional weekends and afterhour call outs.

After hour call outs are paid in addition.

  • Provision of high-level general marina services for customers of the Marina.
  • Connect visiting vessels with supplies of electricity, fresh water and sewage pump out services.
  • Providing general information to telephone enquiries.
  • Advanced boat handling skills including towing, pushing, buoy laying, mooring line retrieval on a twin engine work boat.
  • Regular operation of a small fork lift truck for light duties in the marina. Fork Lift Driver training and Licence provided if necessary.
  • Additional support tasks including record keeping and daily logs.
  • OHS accountabilities and monitoring external contractors on site.
  • Assist with implementation of key policies and procedures

Physical work including cleaning, rubbish removal and general marina site upkeep.

The successful applicant is likely to possess;

  • Marina or yacht club experience and knowledge of the marine industry
  • Good presentation and strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work the hours needed to meet the demands of the role
  • Basic computer skills
  • Current drivers and boat operator’s licences.
  • ability to obtain Licences for operating fork lift and current first aid certificate preferable but not essential
