Chief Officer w/Dive experience - OOW 3000

Yacht: World cruising 56m+ SY

Location: Bahamas

Start date: Immediately - Permanent position

Itinerary: Bahamas, Cuba, Panama, Galapagos, Japan

Requirements: Medical Fitness Certificate, STCW, OOW 3000, Fully Vaccinated, B1/B2 visa. Diving experience a big plus as the vessel has both SCUBA and Rebreather equipment onboard and diving is high priority on most trips.

Ideal candidate is someone hard-working, hands-on, polite, with good longevity and proven references. The position is 50/50 outside/office work and would suit a keen OOW who will get bridge time and guidance with paperwork from the Captain if needed and drive time once proven.

The boat has excellent longevity onboard due to the great itinerary and considerate owners who enjoy cruising off the beaten path.

PACKAGE - Salary: DOE - 2.5 days leave per month with an additional 10 days as per flag state - 1 flight per year - Full Medical -13th month + One week additional leave per year employed. Management likes to see crew develop so even without a formalised training package they are happy to assist with training and courses where possible for the right candidate.
No smokers/ No visible tattoos.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on yachts matching the following requirements:

  • Experience length:  min 2 years

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.

Visa Requirements:

B1/B2 visa is required for this role. US and Canadian citizens do not require the B1/B2 visa.
