Your role as the Owner Care / Yacht Brokerage Coordinator will be varied and diverse. Conch Charters is a small family-run business, you will be expected to be able to carry out a wide mix of different functions across the business.

Outside the office you will be working with the base manager, ensuring yachts in fleet and their equipment are maintained to a high standard. This involves mechanical/electrical / rigging/plumbing preventative maintenance and problem troubleshooting for service calls and emergencies. You will be involved in briefing and debriefing charter guests on the yachts’ systems and equipment on board, making sure guests and owners are taken care of to the highest possible standards in a timely and professional manner.

Inside the office you will assist with yacht owner correspondence, the preparation of owner statements as well as the preparation of yacht brokerage listings, responding to yacht brokerage inquiries and assisting with yacht phase-ins and phase-outs.

Working hours will vary and you must be able to cover operational requirements. You may at times be required to assist with other duties outside of those listed below. You must be happy to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

What you will be doing

  • Direct contact with owners over the phone, email, and face to face, responding to queries and answering any questions they may have.
  • Meet with yacht owners and continue to build strong relationships
  • Responsible for working with the operations team to ensure all major maintenance issues, project work, and owners' concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Support the technical team to deliver the highest standards of yacht maintenance
  • Supervision of turnaround sheets to ensure they are sufficiently completed to assist with reporting to owners.
  • Preparing owner statements from turnaround and mechanic sheets, POS reports and external invoices.
  • Upkeep of the Charter Yacht Sales listings.
  • Responding to Charter Yacht Sales inquiries, assisting with the preparation of Yacht Brokerage paperwork, including AML (Anti Money Laundering) compliance documentation.
  • Assisting with the organization of yacht phase-ins and phase-outs where required.
  • Assisting in all aspects of customer service when required, including briefings and debriefings.
  • Review debrief forms and feedback on a regular basis and address issues affecting the yachts.
  • To assist with the preparation of the fleet of yachts during hurricane season. Working at the BVI Marine Shelter to tie up yachts in the event of a named storm.
  • Complete turnarounds of all types of vessels in the fleet to assist when required and to continue to develop your understanding of the yachts in the fleet.
  • Any other duties as directed by management.

What we are looking for

  • Marine technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the marine leisure industry
  • Strong technical knowledge including a good mechanical and electrical background
