A stat of the art custom sloop is on the search for a new captain & cook/chef to join the yacht.
The owner is hoping for a team mostly for cabin arrangements but may consider strong single candidates if the experience is there and unable to locate the right team.
Currently sailing the Maldives, the vessel will head East and tends to maintain a permanent presence in the South Pacific & Asia regions, with plenty of time in Australia/NZ locations for cruising and yard times.
The vessel has an experienced shore-based manager (a former captain) who will also take an active involvement in the form of relief and potential deliveries.
Ideally the team will be available for an immediate start but could wait for the right team if a short notice period was required.
The owner enjoys low key sailing , plenty of off the beaten track locations and enjoys the usual water activities when onboard.
The manager would like to see the incoming team have experience on vessels of similar size, prior captain experience is a must but will consider the very experienced big sail yacht chief officer/relief captain looking for 1st command.
Owner has diverse culinary tastes that could be satisfied by either a stew/cook with several years cooking experience or a culinary trained chef.
Experience with remote provisioning is essential.

The Ideal Captain

• Captain experience on Sail Yachts over 35m +
• Flexible on ticket (will consider on experience)
• Preferably partnered with a cook or chef
• Cruising experience in the South Pacific advantageous
• Safety conscious, responsible
• Familiar with yard time in Australia / NZ
• Longevity in previous positions
• STCW, ENG 1

Start: ASAP

Salary: Attractive package for team, paid in Euros.

Leave: Standard MLC leave + extra relief time off over delivery/yard times, pending manager availability
