Full Time Housekeeping - Land-Based

Private New York family seeks an experienced full-time live-out Housekeeper / Laundress to assist in the daily cleaning, care, and service of their residence. This position consists of a 40-hour workweek, five days a week, with flexibility to work on weekends as needed. The candidate should be extremely detail-oriented, able to navigate and clean around antiques and fine artwork and be comfortable working both independently and with a team of staff. In addition to primary housekeeping duties, the ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of laundry services, and a proactive attitude towards keeping the home in pristine order. Must be legally able to work in the US.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• All aspects of general housekeeping, deep cleaning, and upkeep of the residence
• Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, antiques, silver, etc.)
• Completing the family’s laundry including washing and ironing clothes
• Superior organization skills and willingness to go above and beyond in all aspects of the job
• Polished, poised and professional in both mindset and manor; use of utmost discretion at all times
• Maintaining residence for guest readiness at all times
• Willingness to run routine errands such as dry cleaners, groceries, etc.
• Additional Housekeeper responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the family

Requirements:

• Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 3 -5+ years of experience working in a private home
• Valid Driver’s License is required, confident driver with a clean driving record
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well
• Thorough knowledge of deep household cleaning, laundry, organization, fine arts, and antiques
• Polished, poised and professional in both mindset and manner; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work additional hours as needed
• Legally able to work in the United States
