Deckhand/Junior Captain 60’ Private MY- Sydney to Kimberley

A very relaxed family orientated private MY is seeking a deckhand / junior captain to assist with their trip to the horizontal falls in the Kimberley.
The family are competent seafarers and the deckhand will join to assist with passage watches, general upkeep, waters sports, drink service, passage planning ect
The deckhand / junior captain will have their own cabin and accommodation can be provided prior to the yachts departure in Sydney.
The family has a young 3 year old boy who is a frother for the ocean and candidates must be good with kids.
Open to both male and female candidates from any location within Australia, although candidates here in Sydney will be able to have face to face interviews.
This is a very low key, relaxed program and the family aren’t looking for high end service rather someone personable, keen on adventure and able assimilate a ‘distant family member role’ on the yacht.
Outside passages and yacht upkeep, there will be plenty of downtime.
Basic Itinerary will be Sydney – Gold Coast (Brief Yard, April)) – Hamilton Island (from May)- Cairns- Kimberley (several months)– Hamilton Island (September) back in Sydney by November
Lots of water sports activities along the way on offer.

Salary: Depending on experience
