Ships Nurses (Cruise) – Worldwide – German Speaking

We are seeking a number of Nurses for a leading Cruise Line company.
You will be expected to provide medical nursing services to all Guests and Crewmembers who need it. The Nurse shall assist the Staff Captain, Senior Doctor, Doctor and Chief Nurse in all shipboard health-related matters including outbreak prevention, and illness reporting as required by international, national and Company policies.

Qualifications & Knowledge needed

• Basic knowledge in „Internal Medicine“
• Basic knowledge and practical experience in Small Surgery, Wound Care, Sew Sore Assistance
• Laboratory Practice
• ECG execution and evaluation
• Knowledge and certification in x-ray protection (Kenntnisse Strahlenschutz) according to German Standards and Legislation from a German Training Centre/Provider.
• Experience in Emergency Medicine / Rescue Medicine is an advantage
• Very good command of the English language. English is the on-board language for Safety and Security. Work instructions and manuals are in English language. Medical Reports and reporting to local authorities in the different ports and countries is in English language.
• Very good command of the German language. Passenger are more than 95% German and Nurse must be able to have a fluent conversation in German Language.
• Experience in the use of PC’s and user programs. Experience in PC based compilation of diagnosis-abstracts, patient billing and medicine stock ordering.
• Minimum of 5 years practical work experience in the field of profession after successful completion of apprenticeship.
• Minimum of 2 years practical work experience in Germany (in the German Medical System) OR Apprenticeship in Germany (alternatively in Austria or Switzerland would be acceptable)
