A 54m Motor Yacht is looking for a new Lead Deckhand/Bosun located in Australia to join their professional team.
The Lead Deckhand/Bosun will rotate 2 months on 1 month off

This yacht is being used privately during this COVID-19 period
Currently cruising North towards Lizard island then returning the Whitsunday’s for Hamilton Race week (if it is still on). This will be followed by a brief shipyard period before returning to Sydney for Summer. Early next year the yacht will hope to head over to NZ for the Americas Cup.

The yacht maintains a home base in Sydney harbour and typically undertakes a mixture of day and term charters, operating both domestically and internationally.
The upcoming summer will be completely based in Sydney with some trips to Palm Beach and other surrounding areas.
Mid 2021 – the yacht will undertake its 15-year survey
As the yacht charters within Australia, the positions are only open to candidates with work rights for Australia/ New Zealand AMSA or MCA quals are welcome

The Ideal Candidate

• Master 5 or Master 200 tonnes
• STCW
• Seafarer medical (willing to obtain AMSA medical)
• Superyacht Lead Deck / Bosun experience
• Can work within a full ISM framework
• Can lead the deck team with professionalism
• Excellent tender driving skills
• Time on large superyachts preferable
• Sound knowledge of deck maintenance products
• Full work rights for Australia/NZ
• Off rotation home base in Australia

Start- As soon as candidates are found/available

Rotation- 2 months on / 1 month off

Salary- $60,000 AUD + Super (paid both On/Off swings). Full Medical insurance
Contracts are Australian Fair Work act based while a DCV and MLC when international + $4000 / year travel allowance
