House Manager in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

On behalf of our client we are looking for a House Manager to work on an estate located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and who can provide an exceptional level of service to their exclusive clientele visiting during the busy shoot season.

Full-time position with emphasis on shooting season from Mid-September – 1st February and quieter during the spring and summer.

10 bedrooms’ manor house with 3 reception rooms hosting 60+ shoot days and 20 overnight stays.

Some corporate events in May/June (Clay shoots) with additional events planned as the business develops.

The successful applicant will have responsibility for managing housekeeping element - laundry, bedrooms & bathrooms.

General upkeep of living areas subject to refurbishment works that occur during the summer months.

Front of house role when O/N guests in residence in the evening and some involvement during daytime events subject to staffing levels and size of party.

Developing the role going forward to manage bookings and liaise with catering manager (Jonathan) and contract staffing (Carol) to ensure smooth running of each event and house turnaround between o/n stays.

Maintain and manage stock levels of house supplies ie. cleaning products, consumables, cash & carry stock items.

Liaise with gardener/handyman for firewood and general maintenance around property.

Some dog-sitting occasionally and the odd taxi-run when required

Role to evolve as house lettings increase

Salary Package

• Beautiful three bedroom accommodation, with all normal bills paid is provided overlooking the front of the estate (council tax, heating, electric, wifi)
• Car provided for work and personal use
• Salary is up to 30K + yearly bonus

The position is to start from February 2020
