Deck/Watch- Expedition Vessels (rotation) 35m-60m – Cairns based

Are you a Cairns based master 5 or master 4 looking for an ongoing rotation position?

MYS Superyacht Crew is on the search for a Cairns based master 5 or master 4, holding an AMSA endorsed STCW to join this group of expedition style commercial vessels as they travel the top end and beyond

The vessels are in survey, Australian flagged and travel internationally and therefore requires the deck/watch to have a minimum of a master 5 and AMSA endorsed STCW as minimum, in addition to other qualifications which can be attained along the way

The successful candidate will be a terrific allrounder, strong with tender driving, water activities and bridge watches.

Must be able to assist with snorkelling trips and other water actives

The vessel operates its crew on rotation and will be working a rotating roster between two vessels travelling different parts of Cairns and Australia.
The work roster is distributed Thursday fortnight with an eight week snap shot of short swings

Working approximately 230 days / year ( mostly days at sea with a few days in port for turnarounds and maintenance)

The vessel also cruises internationally including parts of the Pacific and Asia
As one of the vessels maintains a Cairns home port it will be the requirement that the crew are Cairns residents

The Ideal Candidate will have or look to possess the below qualifications.
(The company offers a training agreement for crew not in possession of certain tickets)

Master AMSA Medical
Passport
First Aid & CPR
STCW
Navigational watch rating
CPSC
Sea Farers book (ASSB)
MSIC card
Crowd control & Crisis management

Start- 7th November 2019

Salary- Depending on COC- Master

(salaries based on day rates and are not paid off rotation)
